Developing and Assessing Computational Thinking in Secondary Education using a TPACK Guided Scratch Visual Execution Environment

Effective and reliable assessment approaches to computational thinking in secondary education are demand. This paper uses a guided technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) framework, incorporating visual execution environment (VEE) Scratch project for school students as method teach assess thinking. The objective is investigate if programming concepts can be improved upon following this method, the K-12 children able improve their skills. research study was conducted over 2 years setting using VEE developed dimensions of Computational Thinking process. participants came from two cohorts, an after-school camp in-school environment. Data collected academic quasi-experimental procedure with pre- post-test followed. results demonstrate gain on encourages us convey how translate (as opposed transfer) experiences into reality. indicate achieved significant improvement development.
